Trip one: Rovinj and Vrsar

Rovinj is one of the most photographed towns on the Istrian coast: pastel houses stacked up a small peninsula, narrow cobbled lanes and the bell tower of the Church of St. Euphemia above it all. On the way we also stop in nearby Vrsar.

  • Time: 09:00–18:00
  • Past the Brijuni Islands and Lim Bay, then two hours in Vrsar and two hours in Rovinj
  • Lunch on board (grilled fish or chicken, salad, bread) with unlimited wine, water and juice
  • Licensed guide speaking Croatian, English, German and Italian
  • Price: 50 € per person; children 6–14 pay half, under 6 free
  • Season: Easter to October. On some dates the boat stops in Poreč instead of Vrsar
St. Mark’s Basilica in Venice02

Trip two: Venice

Venice is built on 118 small islands linked by more than 400 bridges. Highlights include St. Mark’s Basilica, the Grand Canal, the Rialto Bridge and the Doge’s Palace. A fast catamaran takes you there and back, which leaves you about five hours in the city.

  • Departure from Pula at 07:30, back around 20:30
  • About 3.5–4 hours each way by fast catamaran
  • About five hours of free time in Venice
  • Several days a week, from June to mid-September
  • Price: 85 € in June and September, 95 € in July and August; children pay half, small children travel free
  • Any Venice entry fee for day visitors is not included
